Az újra kiadás miatt mostanság nagyon nagy a hype a sorozat körül. Lépten-nyomon szembe jött velem. Gondoltam, ha már az anime is annyira kult (amit szintén nem láttam még), akkor adok neki egy esélyt. Egy kihívás pedig még motivált is, hogy hamarabb nekiálljak a tervezettmél. 

A történet maga egy nagyon jó, fordulatos mese, remek karakterekkel. Tény, hogy nagyon oda kell rá figyelni, mert a legapróbb események is kulcsfontosságú jelentőséggel bírnak. Épp ezért nagyon hamar el lehet veszteni a fonalat. Velem is megtörtént párszor és abszolút egyértelmű összefüggésekre nem jöttem rá magamtól. Ez pedig kifejezetten bosszant. A karakterek viszont mindenért kárpótoltak. 

Ilyen humoros karaktergárdával régen találkoztam. Értem ezalatt nagyrészt a Palota lakóit. Calcifer rettenetesen jó stílusa, és Howl dívasága nagyon sok jó pillanatot eredményezett. 

A fantázia alkotta világ pedig vitán felül zseniális szerzői kompetenciát feltételez. Úgyhogy ezen a téren (is) minden tiszteletem az alkotóé. Szerintem ez a mese gyerekeknek és felnőtteknek egyaránt élvezetes olvasmány. Tundérmesei utalásokkal. Elejtett információmorzsák foszlányaival. Fontos morális végkicsengéssel. Valamint, mondom még egyszer, remek karakterekkel. Bátran ajánlom mindenkinek, aki egy jó kalandra vágyik.

5/4.5 - Sajnálom, hogy most egy ideig nem lesz lehetőségem folytatni a sorozatot, de annál nagyobb öröm lesz majd kötelezettségtől mentesen újra felvenni a történet fonalát.

The Hungarian publisher will republish the full series by the end of this year. So naturally, nowdays the hype around it is pretty high. I have seen these books all over my social media timelines and for you pages. Since I know that the anime version is also a basic masterpiece (which I haven't seen YET), I thought I'd give the novels a chance. A reading challenge even motivated me to put these right at the top of my TBR list. So here we go.

The story itself is a very well written, exciting tale with incredibly adorable characters. Credit where credit is due, this story is kind of complicated. The reader has to be viligant because the tiny little events are the most important keyes of the tale. One slip up and you get hopelessly confused. I'm speaking of experience. Many of these tiny moments went right over my head, so I couldn't see even the most evident key points of the story. Which, I have to admit, bothers me a bit. But the character line made me forget my own stupidity in no time. 

I have not met such a loveable set of characters for ages, to be honest. And of course I mean the inhabitants of the castle. Calcifer had an unbeatable style and Howl being such a drama queen brought the funniest moments into the story. I really enjoyed reading about him. 

The worldbuilding was created by a one of a kind genius mind, I can't praise the author highly enough for the world she dreamed onto the pages. She clearly was an insanely competent writer. And I respect that. Both children and adults could enjoy this story. It's full of fairytale paralells. Hints of dropped information here and there. Very important morals, And let me mention again the perfect set of characters. I warmly recommend it to anyone who wants to be part of an adventure.

5/4.5 - I'm sad because I can't continue the series for qute some time. But it will be amazing to pick it up again without any kind of pressuring responsibilities.
