Angolos gyerkőceimmel néztük meg a filmet egy dupla szakkör keretein belül. Én személy szerint még sosem láttam, így közben jegyeznem kellett néhány elég erős benyomást, amit a történet gyakorolt rám. Úgy is, hogy nem követtem fókuszált figyelemmel az eseményeket.

A történet maga egy kicsit talán klisés. Hablaty szempontjából legalábbis. Ami az ő szálát megmenti, az valójában a tiszta lelke. Valami, ami általában véve becsülendő, csak ebben a tálalásban kissé snassz. Fogatlan szála viszont egy az egyben vitte a pálmát. Nem az a karakter volt, akit előzetes ismereteim alapján elképzeltem magamnak. Annál valaki sokkal jobb. Remekül passzoltak egymáshoz Hablattyal. 

Ha belegondolok, nem bántam meg, hogy megnéztem, mert sok olyan dolgot igyekszik bemutatni, gyerekek számára érthető módon, amit a mai világban sajnos tanítani kell. Remélem, lesz majd lehetőségem átbeszélni a gyerekekkel a látottakat, mert az élmény az ő meglátásaikkal lesz teljes. Kíváncsi vagyok, hogy ők is úgy látják-e a dolgokat, ahogy én, vagy attól eltérő véleményt fognak megfogalmazni. Ahogy azt is érdekes lesz megtapasztalni, hogy egyáltalán hajlandóak lesznek-e megvitatni a látottakat, vagy véleményt formálni arról. 

Én kiskamaszt nevelő családoknak ajánlom egy egész estés élménynek. Gyanítom, sokatoknak érdekes lenne beszélgetni a történet mondanivalójáról úgy, hogy igyekeztek a gyerek szemüvegén keresztül látni a dolgokat. 

Értékelés

5/4 - A tálalás lehetett volna jobb is, pedig a látvány pazar. A mondanivaló azonban nem képezi vita tárgyát. Nagyon értékes dolgokat közöl a film. 

I watched this movie with my students during a double English class which in reality was an after school activity. I have never seen this movie before so I needed to take notes, because there were a couple of scenes which really hit home. Truth to be told I didn't really focus on the movie and yet, I didn't want to forget about these impressions. 

The story itself was a bit of a cliché for me. At least Hiccup's storyline. The endgame was too obvious. His story got saved by his beautiful, pure soul. Don't get me wrong, having a pure soul in a movie is a precious thing. It really is. But under this circumstances it was really too obvious and it made his whole story kind of... meh. Toothless's story though stole the whole show. He was not the character I imagined him he would be. It was a pleasant surprise. His character was so much better than I imagined. He fitted perfectly to Hiccup.

If I think about it, I have to say I'm happy I watched it. Because it represents many things, we should teach our kids and students. And it speaks in the language of the kids. So it's easy for them to understand what it wants to say. I hope I'll have a chance to talk this story through with them. I really want to hear their opinion about the story. I wish to know if they see it the same way as me, or they understand something differently. I hope they will share their thoughts with me. I'll certainly do my best to create the atmosphere.

I really recommend this story for a family where there is a teenager kid or more. I bet it would be a special experience for both the kids and the parents. Especially if the adults would try and see the movie as their kids do.

5/4 - The story itself was a bit cliché, but the cinematography is awesome. And it wants to teach and it can teach many important and precious aspects.
